Paeroa Highland Games

Next weekend Scots in Spirit will be travelling to the Paeroa Highland Games.

The Games, which is now in its 23rd year, will be held at the Paeroa Domain on Saturday 13 February 2016.

Originally organised as a small pipe band competition, Paeroa has grown in its relatively short history into a full Highland Games and a major highlight of the New Zealand Scottish cultural calendar, featuring not only pipe bands but heavyweight field events, wood chopping, highland dancing, solo piping, and solo drumming.

Paeroa is also well-known for its highly popular Tattoo, which is held in the evening shortly after the conclusion of the pipe band competition.

Scots in Spirit will be at the Games with a comprehensive range of apparel, fabric, jewellery, and other accessories on display, so feel free to drop by our stand and have a browse!
