Hamilton Gardens Contest

On Saturday 5 November the Hamilton Caledonian Society will once again be holding the "Contest at the Gardens", their annual pipe band and solo competition.

Held on the backdrop of the picturesque Hamilton Gardens, the competition will begin with piping solos in the morning and conclude with a full pipe band contest in the afternoon, featuring bands from across Auckland and the Central North Island.

Following the contest there will be a recital by Liam Kernaghan, one of New Zealand's foremost solo pipers, at the Hamilton Caledonian Society Hall on 86 High Street, Frankton. The recital includes a small cover charge of $5.

Scots in Spirit will also be in attendance on the day, so we invite you to come along to our stall to have a chat and look at the products that we have with us.

For further information about the contest, visit their Event page on Facebook or contact Peter Lawson on peter.feltlikeit@xtra.co.nz.
