Lindisfarne College Pipe Band Reunion, 22 June 2019

Graham took a few days break from running Scots in Spirit last week, travelling to Hastings to attend the reunion of his old school Pipe Band at Lindisfarne College on 22 June. Graham played in the band for four years, and was Pipe Major during the last year,1966, which was also his last year at school.

The Reunion was a great opportunity to catch up with former band members - several of those attending were from Graham's years, and there were original band members from around 1957 right through to the present. The current band is an active participant in piping competitions and forms a vital part of the culture and events in the College's calendar. Current band members joined past members for dinner followed by a joint piping/drumming session.

There were suggestions from the floor generally endorsed that this should be a regular annual fixture.
