Scots in Spirit is keen for any excuse to wear and celebrate Tartan – and fortunately, there are TWO “Tartan Days”.
In the US and Canada, Tartan Day is celebrated on April 6. It aims to promote and celebrate Scots culture, heritage and achievements in those countries.
In New Zealand and Australia, International Tartan Day is celebrated on July 1 (or the nearest Sunday). This date commemorates the Declaration of Arbroath, a declaration of Scottish independence signed in 1320.
So celebrate both! With April 6 is coming up fast, Scots in Spirit has a great range of tartan fabrics, also scarves, sashes, stoles and wraps: check out our online store and order online.
