Last weekend the World Pipe Band Championships were once again held at Glasgow Green, drawing thousands of spectators and bands from all around the globe.
This year the championship title went to Inveraray & District, the first Grade 1 title for the Band which was only formed in 2005. Last years winners Field Marshal Montgomery of Northern Ireland placed second, while Saint Laurence O'Toole of Ireland came third. Inveraray also took out the World Drumming title, another first for the Band.
New Zealand was represented in Grade 1 by Auckland & District. They did not make it through to the final, but had an impressive showing in their Heat where they placed 5th in the medley event.
BBC Scotland provided full coverage of the Grade 1 and Grade 2 Finals on 12 August, which you can access here .
