Handcrafted from natural heather.

Take home your very own piece of Scotland with a piece of Heathergem jewellery.

Heathergems are handcrafted from the stems of Scottish heather collected from the Perthshire hills.

The stems are dried, the bark removed, and dyed in many colours.

Stems of different colours are then mixed together and compressed into a block - using approximately 80 tons of pressure!

The heather block is cut into slices and individual pieces are cut, shaped and sanded by skilled craftspeople before being lacquered to give the final finish, then placed in a range of lovely settings, using both traditional Celtic and more contemporary Scottish styles.

The Heathergem process ensures every gem is unique, with different patterning and colouring to every other.
